Now that my jet lag is a
bit more under control, I am
glad to be able to offer you
feedback on my recent
Medhills trip.
As you know, the purpose of
this vacation was to finally
realize my long-held wish to
visit Turkey, and also to
celebrate 15 years of
friendship with Merryl, who
lives in California. I
expect that you will hear
from her separately, but
here are my thoughts now
that I am back home in NYC.
I cannot say enough positive
things about Medhills.
Firstly, you spared no
effort to perfect the custom
itinerary with me in the
months leading up to the
trip. I would often email
you at, say, 11PM NY time
and would receive a reply
from you within 20 minutes,
marveling at your customer
responsiveness, since it
must have been in the middle
of the night in Turkey! You
always provided prompt and
thorough answers to my many
questions and every detail
was executed in exactly the
manner that you outlined.
A.J. from Medhills arrived
at our hotel within 15
minutes of my checking in (I
arrived first; Merryl,
shortly afterward), ready to
welcome us and orient us to
the tour. I found this very
reassuring. We could have
literally set our watches to
the tour timetable. Bravo to
you and your team.
The Seven Hills Hotel in
Istanbul was lovely and
comfortable, and the
location was excellent—an
easy walk or taxi ride to
many of the city’s most
significant sites.
It is not always possible
for me to find things to eat
for breakfast when I am
traveling, but the buffet at
Seven Hills was varied and
generous and I looked
forward every morning to the
comb honey, fresh yogurt,
olives, enormous fresh figs
and trays of melon and other
fruit, brown bread, and many
other treats as I took in
the extraordinary view from
the roof terrace and
prepared myself for the day.
The hotel staff was very
helpful and friendly, but I
would like to particularly
single out Seckin, the
concierge, who is, without
question, one of the kindest
people I have ever met. He
could not do enough every
day to make sure that Merryl
and I had directions to our
destinations; he made
countless phone calls to
shops, restaurants, and
cultural events on our
behalf to obtain helpful
information, more precise
directions, order tickets,
etc. My deepest thanks to
him. It was just a delight
to see him and other Seven
Hills staff standing just
outside the hotel, waving to
us as we came down the
street, welcoming us back
home every day…or sending us
forth on another adventure!
Baris Partal, our Medhills
tour guide in Istanbul, was
exceptional, and was,
without doubt, the best
guide I have had on any
trip—anywhere. He is highly
knowledgeable, passionate
about his work, organized,
energetic, yet flexible,
warm and considerate while
always being very
professional and respectful.
He is truly in a class by
himself. Our lunches with
Baris were leisurely (but
never time wasting) and we
never felt any pressure to
order things we didn’t want
or buy things in shops—any
of the concerns that
tourists sometimes have.
There were no hassles—of any
kind. Also, each day of
Medhills Istanbul touring
was conducted in such a way
that it provided us with a
good sense of the city. When
we returned to Istanbul for
four days at the end of our
trip to explore on our own,
we were able to navigate
with relative ease because
of the kind of introduction
to the city and its culture
and history that we had been
given by Baris.
Our next stop was
Cappadocia, another place in
Turkey that I had yearned to
see for many years, and that
strange, otherworldly
landscape was powerful and
haunting. We had two days of
touring with Medhills, and
as you know, this was the
only non-private part of the
tour. Nevertheless, the
group was small (about a
dozen) and very congenial.
Our tour guide on the second
day, Yunus Kervan, was a
gracious and attentive
person who saw at the outset
that I needed assistance
during the hike and made
sure that he provided it
every step of the way; I
could not have done it
without him! As for the
Cappadocia guide on the
first day: Sirkahn
(spelling?): he seemed like
a very nice young man, but
not nearly as knowledgeable
as the other Medhills
guides. Also, he began by
telling us on the bus that
he was sick with the flu. I
think in such a situation,
it would have been better
for there to be a substitute
guide—for his own health, as
well as for the good health
of travelers who should not
be exposed to someone who is
ill.
That all being said, we
enjoyed the informative
demonstrations at the
pottery studio and the rug
weaving/dying emporium,
along with the generous and
delicious lunches. As a
vegetarian, there were many
options and I never had to
be concerned about getting
enough to eat.
Merryl and I had elected to
stay at The Museum Hotel in
Cappadocia and it is,
without question, an idyllic
and luxurious spot. Merryl’s
room was especially
beautiful, with its
cave-like ceiling and other
rustic details. The
breakfast buffet was
sumptuous, however Merryl
and I found the food at
dinner to be very mediocre
and pricey and it did not
live up to the caliber of
the hotel. I’d advise
travelers to stay there…but
take a taxi and eat in town.
Much better food…and value
elsewhere. Also: one of the
main reasons I wanted to
stay at The Museum Hotel was
because I am a daily swimmer
at home and it has a pool.
The pool is indeed beautiful
to look at but quite small,
and, I am sorry to say,
extremely dangerous. This is
a bit hard to describe, but
there is a decorative but
deadly thick, heavy rock
slab overhang around the
perimeter of the pool. As a
swimmer makes her way to the
wall of the pool itself, she
cannot help but crack her
head on the rock as she
turns. It would not be
difficult for them to trim
the rock hangover to be in
line with the wall of the
pool, thus avoiding
accidents, and I would
appreciate it if you would
offer this feedback to the
hotel.
Our drive to Konya from
Cappadocia was effortless.
In fact, all the vehicles
throughout the trip were
sumptuous, air conditioned,
and very safe and the
drivers were polite and very
skilled. Our guide, Mahksut
(spelling?) en route to, and
in, Konya, was very
informed, patient, and easy
to be with. Merryl and I
stayed at Dedeman’s Hotel in
Konya on the night that
Ramadan began and we were
impressed by the helpfulness
of the entire staff getting
us settled.
Even though it was Ramadan,
their breakfast buffet, in
the Turkish tradition, was a
bounty of choices—in fact,
the most extravagant
imaginable—I wish I had it
for breakfast here!—but
dinner in one of the hotel
restaurants, albeit with a
great view over the city—was
very overpriced, mediocre
quality, and small portions.
Merryl and I are small-sized
women, but we were hungry at
the conclusion of the meal.
It was the first night of
Ramadan, we were tired, and
needed to be up by 5AM, so
we did not venture out, but
we should have taken the
plunge. Again, my advice:
stay here, eat out.
I am a scholar and professor
of religious studies and the
spiritual highlights of the
trip for me were the Chora
Church in Istanbul which we
saw with Baris; the tomb of
Rumi (the Mevlana Museum)
which we saw with Mahksut in
Konya; and the Rustem Pasha
Camii (mosque) with its
extraordinary Iznik tiles
that we saw on our own in
Istanbul. These three sacred
sites are replete with
immense history, holiness,
and a luminosity and
spiritual grandeur that have
imprinted deeply upon my
soul. I was also profoundly
moved by the rock churches
in Cappadocia. This past
spring term, I taught a
seminar that included
readings in early Christian
desert monasticism and
asceticism from this region,
and it was thrilling for me
to be able to visit this
location, but I would have
appreciated much more time
to explore the rock
churches; we moved through
much too quickly for my
taste, and the crowds did
not help (unavoidable in
August, I suppose…).
Once again, my thanks to you
and the entire Medhills team
for this rich, compelling,
and memorable trip. Please
do not hesitate to let me
know if you have any
questions or need additional
feedback of any kind.
Best regards,
Katherine Kurs, M.Div.,
Ph.D.

My husband and I just
returned from a wonderful
holiday in Turkey and Greece
that you arranged for us.
Everything went extremely
well and we could not be
happier. You were
excellently represented by
AJ in Turkey and everywhere
we went in Greece, we had
someone to contact if we
needed anything. All of our
transfers were prompt and
wherever we arrived, someone
was waiting for us with a
sign with our name. This
really made for a
stress-free holiday.
Although all our guides and
tours were good, I must
particularly mention our
guide, Hale, in Istanbul,
who was not only very
well-informed and
interesting, but a lovely
person to spend time with.
For the most part, our
hotels were very good. Also,
I do appreciate that you
were interested in my
feedback around the hotels,
locations and itineraries to
improve an almost perfect
experience.
Thank you for making our
trip so memorable and
successful. I will not
hesitate to recommend your
company.
As I mentioned, we are
hoping to visit Italy next
summer and would love to
have similar arrangements.
Please let me know who I can
contact to help us.
Best regards,
Suzanne

Your professionalism,
expertise and patience
helped us plan an
outstanding vacation. You
answered numerous emails and
went out of your way to
arrange hotels, private
tours with guides, as well
as luxurious transportation
from point to point. You
provided us with all the
information we needed to
facilitate a holiday that
was problem free from start
to finish.
AJ, the local agent in
Istanbul called for us at
our hotel upon our arrival.
He made us feel welcome and
looked after. We were
impressed by the
thoughtfulness of MedHills
in having someone close by
to contact should we need
to. AJ even took the time to
walk with us from the hotel,
directing us to the
restaurant area. He left us
with his cell phone number
only after making sure our
14 days itinerary was
perfect. He called us at our
hotel towards the end of our
trip to make certain
everything was going well.
No one, in all my years of
travel, has ever done that.
The hotels were all expertly
run, clean and very well
located. The hotels’ staffs
were polite, friendly and
helpful. The breakfasts were
charming, plentiful, usually
served up in either roof top
terraces or with views of
the sea. The Diamond Hotel
in Bodrum was by far our
favourite though. The views,
ambiance and overall chic
yet modestly sophisticated
appeal of the furnishings,
and design of the hotel had
a calming yet energizing
effect on all of us. This
place truly sparkled by
night. Each evening, at
dinnertime there were small
dance shows to watch and
music to listen to while we
dined as the sun set. The
food was beautifully
presented with time taken to
elegant details and fine
dining experiences even
though it was buffet.
The private guide for the
tour of Istanbul met us at
our hotel the first morning.
He explained to us what our
options were and even asked
us for our own ideas of how
we wanted the day to unfold.
In the end, we had a
wonderful mix of touring,
museums, and shopping. He
was so helpful and went out
of his way to answer all of
our questions. He provided
us with so much information.
The group tour of Ephesus
was a highlight for all of
us. The guide was
knowledgeable, fun to be
with and knew how to get us
through crowds of people
without ever having to wait.
The delicious lunch at
mid-afternoon was in a
secluded, peaceful setting
which gave our group of 8 a
chance to relax and talk
amongst ourselves. We had
the beautiful canopied
garden to ourselves. After
lunch we were shown the art
of carpet weaving by local
women. We were shown
carpets; one more beautiful
than the next yet there
really was no pressure to
buy anything at all. The
touring company that day
made sure there was always
something cold for us to
drink in their minivan. This
was another nice touch.
With out a doubt, I would
strongly recommend MedHills
Travel to all those that are
looking for hospitality,
dependability and expertise.
I hope to be able to call
upon your team of experts
for our next trip, perhaps a
cruise of the Greek Islands
with a pit stop back to
Bodrum!
Thanks again, Gail
Wiseman.

We had a wonderful
trip and enjoyed Turkey
enormously! The organization
provided by your agency in
terms of plans, tours and
all the arrangements
regarding transportation and
transfers contributed in
every way in making the trip
stress-free and enhanced our
experience. Being met in
Istanbul by AJ and again in
Rhodes made us feel well
looked after. All the
drivers were prompt and very
reliable. In general the
hotels were good, well
located and served our
needs. The Diamond in Bodrum
was an excellent suggestion
and we enjoyed it
tremendously - especially
the location, service and
the beauty of its views. We
enjoyed everywhere we went,
especially Bodrum but the
highlight was Ephesus. We
had an excellent tour guide
and loved it so much we hope
to go back! We appreciate
all your input and would
recommend your agency
without reservations!
Thank you for everything,

Dear Cenan Y
Our stay in Turkey was
above expectation. Your tour
program gave us the
opportunity to get to know
intimately the regions
visited. Hotels were great.
Istanbul's Megara Palace is
within walking distance from
all important points of
interest. Elkep Evi an
exclusive experience of
living in a cave and the
beach front Derici Otel in
Kusadasi couldn't be better
located. Hotel personal very
attentive. The guides
knowledgeable with special
mention to Rose our guide in
Ephesus. Transportation in
airport transfers and tours,
excellent. We liked it so
much that we are
recommending it to our
friends.
cordially.

We very much enjoyed our
trip and your help in
arranging all the
transports, hotels and
rental car.
Staying in Kusadasi for 2
nights instead of one was
one good change from our
original plans. after the
long flight and 2 days
walking through Istanbul we
were ready for a rest and
swim in the Mediterranean.
The drive to Pamukkale was
short and the local sites
weren't worth a night's
stay. We would have
preferred continuing the
drive.
Konya was a good stop for
one night. We were thrilled
with Cappadocia and wish we
had more time there. we
rushed through and saw
everything but this place
really needs 2 full nights.
Also you should strongly
recommend a guide to help
appreciate the sites,
especially the underground
cities.
One of the highlights for us
was dinner at the Sunset
restaurant in Istanbul.
Thanks again for your help.

We just wanted to say thank
you for such a well
organized tour of Turkey. We
were very happy with the
hotels we were given and the
breakfasts, lunches, and
dinners included in the
package. The travel from
Istanbul to Cappadocia to
Izmir was very smooth. Some
of the tour guides were not
as informative as we would
have liked however the last
tour with Gonja.. I think
that was her name was very
good. We were in Kusadsi/Epheseus.
She took the time to explain
and you could tell that she
really does enjoy her job
and loves to share her
knowledge with the people on
the tour. Thanks again we
would definitely recommend
you to our friends.

Hello,
Our trip was wonderful! We
couldn't have asked for
better service from your
agency. We felt very well
taken care of by your staff,
the drivers, tour guides and
various hotel staff
throughout our stay. The
transfers went very smoothly
with the exception of the
transfer from the Kayseri
airport to the tour. Somehow
we missed the connection,
but the drivers made sure we
got to the right bus and we
started the tour with the
exception of the 5km hike.
Everyone we dealt with
during the entire two weeks
showed much professionalism
and made feel us very
welcome and comfortable. Our
requests were met without
delay and we loved the
upgrade to the suite at the
Blue Hills Hotel. One of the
more memorable times was our
stay at the El Vino Hotel in
Bodrum. What a fantastic
place! We actually stayed
around the pool for the
majority of one day and that
is unusual for us. It's a
testament to the atmosphere
of the hotel and staff.
Thank you so much for making
our honeymoon such an
enjoyable experience! Please
let us know if you need
anything more from us.
Thank you again,

Our trip to Greece and
Turkey went beautifully.
Athens is just a big city
but our well informed guide
made the tour worthwhile.
The hotel Despotiko in
Mykonos was very comfortable
with a beautiful garden and
close access to the city.
The Andromeda hotel on
Santorini was absolutely
gorgeous with a breathtaking
view of the bay and sunset.
While in Samos our ferry
broke down but our great
guide re-arranged the
schedule so we wouldn't miss
Ephesus allowing us to take
a taxi ride in the afternoon
into the hills which was
beautiful. Once arriving in
Kusadasi we loved the hotel
Ilayda located ring on the
bay and were eye
witnesses to a great
concert. Then we were off to
Ephesus
where one of the sweetest
women I've ever met Unal
Driver guided the days
personal tour along with a
very accommodating driver.
We loved her so much we
asked for her E mail
address. Our stay at
Cappadocia at the Assiana
Cave Hotel was perfect as
was the wonderful
family that own it. She even
cooked a homemade dinner
that people who were staying
at other hotels came to eat
( as well as us of course).
We loved that town and it's
people.
When we checked into the
Blue Hills however late in
the evening we were very
unhappy. The wet bar only
held warm drinks ( I don't
even think it was turned
on). When my husband called
the desk to ask the manager
for ice he was told " We
don't have andy". My husband
was going to go accross the
street to try & buy ice for
our drinks but by then they
were closed and not being
familiar with a strange big
city ( Istanbul) he brought
the empty plastic bag in to
the manager and said "You
must have a little ice up in
your restaurant as you serve
breakfast". The manager said
no! By that time we we
totally up set with the
seedy surroundings and TV
that wasn't operating
correctly but decided to go
to bed. My husband called
downstair to say he couldn't
get the TV to work correctly
and the manager said he
couldn't understand him &
hung up. The following day I
fell in the city and one of
the other hotels came
running out with a bag of
ice and I had injured my
jaw, hand and knee. We knew
knew better than to go to
our hotel so I could rest as
we would get no ice so we
checked in another hotel.
Our very sweet guide in
charge of Istanbul Gurol
Evcil contacted us at the
new hotel & offered medical
help and anything else we
needed. The next day the
money was refunded
to us from Blue Hills (
which we hadn't expected)
with his sincere appologies
so all was well. We have
recommeded Medhills to our
friends as you fixed all
problems quickly and
professionally. All in All
it was a fantastic trip!

Hi,
My family and I had
wonderful time in Turkey
because of your travel
agency.
Things we absolutely
enjoyed:
1. Tour guides were
efficient, timely and had
very thorough knowledge of
the region/history etc.
2. We also loved the
friendly staff at your hotel
and other places.
3. Cappadocia region was
absolutely fabulous. The
tour guide in Cappadocia was
so funny and entertaining.
Also, the tour guide took us
to really nice local places
for lunch and it was
absolutely delicious. I wish
I could remember the name of
the restaurants. I felt I
had the best food in Turkey
only in Cappadocia region.
4. Istanbul was such a fun
city. I really liked our
private tour guide you had
arranged for us. She was
quite helpful in terms of
taking us to shopping and
such a wonderful person.
Again, she knows her history
very well!
5. Ephesus had so much
history and the tour guide
had so much knowledge about
the details of the history.
I was quite blown away by
her extensive knowledge.
We really liked Pamukkale
but only unfortunate thing
was misunderstanding between
the driver and tour guide.
They both were upset at each
other and quite moody with
us as well.
I hope these reviews help
and I will be happy to pass
to any of my friends
interested in visiting
Turkey.
We got your travel
information from one of our
friends who visited last
year through your agency.

Dear Cenan,
We had a wonderful time. Med
Hills did an excellent job
of scheduling all the trips
and transfers. And we
thoroughly enjoyed our time
in Turkey. Your
representative kept track of
us and phoned to check from
time to time to make sure
that the program was working
out as planned. There was
some confusion at the hotels
about my early check-in and
late check out, but that was
resolved quickly and
efficiently. However, when
early arrivals and late
departures are necessary
they should be coordinated
better with the hotels to
make sure rooms are
available or can be kept
until departure. There was
also some confusion about
the balloon ride schedule in
Cappadocia, but it was
resolved reasonably well.
All together we had a great
time and would recommend Med
Hills to anybody taking a
vacation in Turkey.
Your selection of the 7
Hills Hotel was an excellent
choice. Although we were on
the first floor, the rooftop
restaurant affords the best
views of the Blue Mosque and
St. Sophia in the city.
Nancy O'Day - USA
After a wonderful and
adventure packed 2 weeks, we
are now home. We would like
you to know that we were
very pleased with all your
arrangements. The hotels
were perfect in location,
condition and service. The
guides were all very good
and accommodating in every
way. And Ms Gulay is a gem.
She was responsive,
informative and caring. We
can't say enough good things
about our trip.
There was a minor moment of
concern at the train station
when no one appeared to be
waiting for us ( It's a
small station) but we
eventually found our guide
with the help of Ms Gulay.
We think he is new and am
sure he understands where to
wait now. There was also no
breakfast that
morning....we're sure again
he didn't understand it was
on the itinerary. But
overall, the guides were
terrific...plus we couldn't
have asked for better land
transport.....lots of space
in fairly new vehicles.
It was a long flight but
well worth the effort to get
there. We will all be
singing your praises to our
friends. Thanks for giving
us such great memories.
Best Regards,
Nancy

My friend Liz and I had a
wonderful time on our tour.
We were amazed at how you
managed to organize
everything so that we were
always met by someone
helpful and friendly to lead
us from one tour to the
next, even though we
requested a number of
out-of-the-way sights. Osman
and the driver Numan in
Cappadocia and Yeliz from
Cannakale were particularly
knowledgeable and
accommodating. Sardis was my
favourite sight, worth the
long drive. My friend Liz
liked all of Cappadocia and
hopes to return.
Perhaps the biggest
disappointment came on the
last day, at the
Dardanelles. Necessarily,
the tour was geared to New
Zealanders and Australians
and our guide was difficult
to understand--although
enthusiastic. The Seven
Hills Hotel was the best and
we will both try to stay
there again if, insallah, we
ever get to return.

Hello!
This is what we loved about
the trip!
All of the intra-country
travel and pick up
arrangements were great, and
made the trip very easy. It
was great not to have to
worry about how to get from
point A to point B, and
coordinate cabs and public
transit.
The hotel in Cappadocia was
beautiful! We loved it.
Location of Seven Hills
Hotel was perfect.
Our Ephesus tour guide was
excellent, and we were on a
small group tour.

Hi Cenan,
I know this email comes late
but I would like to give my
feedback regarding the
Turkey as promised.
- Your tour company was
wonderful and everyone we
met including Mrs. Gulay and
the drivers were great.
- The privacy on the trip in
regards to transfers between
hotels was fantastic.
- The flights all departed
and arrived on time and were
very comfortable.
- The hotels were wonderful.
The only hotel we were not a
fan of was the Asena Beach
Hotel in Oludeniz. It was
not at all of the calibre of
the other hotels that you
booked for us; it was very
noisy, the room was very
basic, but to be fair the
food was very good.
- My favourite hotel was in
Bodrum - the El Vino. It was
stunning. Of course I loved
them all including Kusadasi.
- The only complaint I have
is in Kusadasi was one of
the male beach staff - a
Mohamed - was very forward
with me and my travel
partner. We were 2 women
travelling together and he
made some personal advances
toward us every day we were
there -- he did not
comprehend that we did not
want to be bothered. But, we
brought this to the
attention of the hotel on
our last day with a letter
to management. The hotel
itself was absolutely
gorgeous.
The tours - both the
Oludeniz cruise and the
Ephesus tour were good. I
would definitely book with
Myturkeytours.com again. I
hope you can arrange a
similar trip for me to
Greece in the summer. What
is important to me is to be
in nice accommodation, have
good food, and not be in
places that are extremely
busy. So thanks again for
making our trip very
memorable and I hope to book
with your company again real
soon.
Thanks,
Solmaz

Just wanted to check in
after our October trip for a
bit of a debrief.....
First of all, I want you to
know we were very, very
pleased with all the
organization you put in
place.
At every plane arrival - and
my husband kept reminding me
how MANY there were.... -
there was always someone
standing there with a
"Sharon Bishin" sign to
transfer us to our hotels
(which were all fine) and
then take us back to the
airport (and they always
kept us in line time-wise).
Your travel people were very
present in each city and
provided us with vouchers
and tickets in a most
comprehensive manner. The
tours were good. I would
absolutely recommend your
operation to anyone who
asks.
Great memories. Super
destinations.
Thanks for all your help.

Our
Turkey tour went very well.
All of our pick-ups were on
time. We even got picked up
when we arrived on a
different flight than
originally scheduled. The
tour guides were very good.
We feel like we really got
to know Turkey and enjoyed
all the sights and
experiences. The lunch
restaurants and hotels were
all very good. We got very
good value for the money
spent. Overall it was an
exceptionally good tour. I
would have preferred to see
something like the Basilica
Cisterns or one of the Baths
instead of the Rustem Pasa
Mosque.
Thank you.

Dear
Cenan and Gulay,
I can’t
thank both of you enough for
a truly incredible trip that
you put together for the
Travel Wizards group. From
start to finish, our
vacation was wonderful. In
all my travels, I can
honestly say that Seyit was
the finest tour director I
have had. His historical
knowledge, as well as his
fun personality made him the
perfect person to lead. His
restaurant suggestions and
shopping opportunities
really were on target with
this diverse group.
Everybody loved the
accommodations, especially
in Cappadocia and Kusadasi.
I would not hesitate in the
least to recommend your
services to any of my fellow
agents in our office and
elsewhere.
I didn’t learn how to say
thank you in Turkish, but it
is really heartfelt!
Best Regards,
Andrea

HI!
We had a terrific time on
the tour that you planned
for us in Turkey. We talked
with Ms. Gulay our last
evening in Istanbul and told
her that we were very happy
with all the arrangements.
There were no problems with
the transfers. When we come
to Turkey again to go on
another blue cruise we will
ask for a boat that does
actually do a bit of sailing
in addition to motor
cruising. The swimming was
great and the water not to
cold. Everyone we met was
very nice. We will be
recommending your agency to
our friends.
Take care and have a good
rest after the high tourist
season ends for this year.
Daniele & Rjean - Canada
As advised earlier, we had a
wonderful trip. The pick-ups
were always on time, except
for one in Antalya and your
contact person was available
to correct the situation.
She was also in touch
throughout the voyage to
ascertain that we were
satisfied with the details
of our trip. The hotels
suggested by your firm were
most delightful,
particularly Gamirasu in
Cappadocia, El Vino in
Bodrum and Alp Pasa in
Antalya. I have to say that
Cappadocia was probably the
highlight of our trip. The
guides were extremely
knowledgeable and
entertaining, and we enjoyed
the fact that the groups
were usually no more than 12
people in a minivan. After a
hectic first week, it was
nice to relax at the El Vino
Hotel in Bodrum.
The Turkish people were
friendly and very
accommodating everywhere we
went and we definitely want
to return to Turkey.
We encountered other
Canadians who ran into
credit card payment
difficulties. This is
unfortunate. Your
organization is thoroughly
professional and attentive
to detail, we received value
for our money and I would
not hesitate to recommend
you to fellow travellers.
I wish you the best and I
will be happy to share my
experience with others.
Regards,
Linda & Hung - USA
Thank you for helping
arrange our travel to Turkey
and Greece. Our trip was
seemless, Our Turkey Tours
representatives met us at
each leg of our journey, we
enjoyed our hotels and their
central location to the
places we wanted to see.
We found Turkey magical,
friendly and inexpensive. We
would definitely go back to
Turkey. We enjoyed Greece's
history and food.
During our tours there were
other friends of ours, who
we met along the way, that
had trouble with some aspect
of their trip. We were glad
that we never had any
trouble, we were never left
stranded, we never hated our
hotels etc.
We have recommended "My
Turkey Tours" to everyone we
have talked with.
All the best,
Linda

We had a great trip!
Highlights were the kind
tour employees, including
drivers. They made us feel @
home in your country, 8,000
thousand miles from our
home.
We always felt safe and
welcomed. They had good
undestanding of the history
and culture, we learned so
much. Their english was
good. It was awesome to get
to a new destination and
your staff would be waiting
for us with our names on a
large sign!! We never waited
or wondered.
The Bella Hotel in Selcuk
was great! The Elvino Hotel
in Bodrum was great!
In Rodes Is. Greece (I can't
remember the name of the
hotel) there was black mold
on the ceiling in our room.
The mold reeked and
cigarette smoked lingered.
We asked to be moved and
they agreed to do that. In
Marmaris, Kaymarmara Hotel
was good, except they
neglected to tell us that it
was an "all inclusive hotel"
and all meals/drinks were
free. That would have saved
us alot of money.
The food was all very tasty,
never had a bad meal.
So, there were just a few
issues, but they didn't
dampened the trip. We only
wish we had more time! Our
sailing trip was magical,
too. We sailed 200 miles of
Aegean coastline. Explored
numerous ports of
call/ruins/tombs.
Swimming/snorkelling in the
warm crystal clear waters. A
trip of a lifetime. Thanks
again for putting it
together so nicely. We'll be
happy to give referrals.
Sincerely,
Tina Little and Randy Grant
Eda & Richard - USA
I am delighted to respond to
your email. In fact, it had
been my intention to contact
you when the dust settled
and all the tasks one comes
home to had come under
better control.
I would say unequivocally
that this was one of the
most enjoyable holidays that
my husband and I have taken
in the last decade. It is
difficult to chose one
moment or experience that is
more marvellous than any
other, though we have tried
asking ourselves that very
question.
First, our accommodations
were marvellous and for the
most part an excellent fit
for the kind of environments
we like best. The Seven
Hills Hotel and the Yunak
Evleri in particular were
intimate, welcoming and
exactly the right size. The
Charisma in Kusadasi was a
first class hotel, but more
impersonal than the
accommodations that we most
prefer (that is not a
criticism, simply a
preference.) The staff at
the Seven Hills was
particularly accommodating:
I lost a notebook somewhere
in Istanbul, and they were
able to recover it for me
(or perhaps the detective
was the excellent Miss Gulay)
within hours.
Turkey itself was a
revelation. The warmth of
the people we encountered,
the beauty of the landscape
and the richness of the
archaeological and
historical sites were
unexpected and immensely
absorbing.
We were fortunate to have
truly excellent guides in
Cappadocia and Kusadasi who
educated us and took
excellent care of us. We
also met some really
interesting fellow
travellers and we've
maintained contact with a
few.
Transitions are often the
most frustrating and anxiety
provoking aspects of a
journey. Our trip involved
seven different plane
flights, numerous pick-ups
(some as early as 5 AM) and
connections. The reliability
and professionalism of your
guides and drivers never
disappointed us. They were
always on time, always in
the appointed place, and
always courteous and
amiable. It felt effortless.
Things we loved:
The view from the breakfast
terrace at the Seven HIlls
Hotel. The excitement of
Istanbul.
The wonderful Turkish food
(the great buffet breakfasts
at all our hotels)
especially the meal we had
at Ceya in Kadakoy.
That we were lucky to have
our holiday during Ramadan
so that we could be part of
the amazing carnival of
celebrants around the Blue
Mosque at night.
The way that secular and
religious lives coexist
compatibly.
A night in a cave hotel; the
underground cities and above
ground caves of Cappadocia
Ephesus
The Tuesday market in
Kusadasi
The sense of history the is
present everywhere
How kind and friendly the
Turkish people were.
I could go on, but that
would mean essentially
commending everywhere we
went, and everyone we had
contact with. I will say
that my conversations and
emails with you even prior
to our departure inspired
confidence and reassurance
that we were in excellent
hands.
We have very few
reservations: Our guide in
Istanbul was extremely
personable and highly
intelligent, but a little
too indifferent and
distracted. One carpet
demonstration and sales
opportunity would have been
sufficient, though I
recognize the importance to
the local economies of
bringing visitors to these
sites in each locality. (and
we actually enjoyed them.)
Really, though - it was a
dream trip. And we are
credit you with its ease and
fluidity.
I would unhesitatingly
recommend your agency to any
traveler, and hope that we
will be lucky enough to be
able to use your services
again. Thank you fro
creating and customizing
such a wonderful experience
for us.
My best wishes,
Eda

The trip
was fabulous. You did a
wonderful job. The only
thing that needed to be
changed was the last hotel,
but you did that promptly
and effectively. I told
Gulay that we would consider
sharing the x-tra expense
but she said it wasn't
necessary as long as we are
happy.
As a travel agent with
Global Travel International
(GTI) I am telling them what
a wonderful job you did and
am notifying them in hopes
they will notify their 4,000
independent travel agents
about your expertise in
Turkey and Greece.
Thank you for your immediate
attention to our problem
enabling us to end our
journey on a really high
note. I have already
referred your agency to my
son's colleague who will
soon be traveling to Turkey.
The Seven Hills hotel is in
an excellent location and
the rooms and personnel were
terrific, the drivers were
always on time and the
guides were very
knowledgeable. Tank you
again for helping me plan
this excellent trip as a
gift to our Grandson for his
13th birthday.
Most sincerely, Jayne and
Alan Drucker.

Dear
Cenan and Gulay:
I don't even know where to
begin with out praise for
your organization, drivers,
guides and itinerary.
Everything was flawless. You
arrived on time and prepared
for our every wish. The
guides were phenomenal. They
'knew their stuff'.. We saw
and did things in each place
that were different and
informative. We hiked,
crawled and climbed.
The hotels were as you
predicted. Marmara in was
well located but we would
have been happier in the
Sultanhmet area but it was
never a problem. The staff
and facilities were to out
enjoyment. The Museum Cave
Hotel was an true
experience. The rooms, the
views, the pool, the staff
were exceptional. The
Charisma was a real resort.
Am sure we would have
enjoyed using the facilities
if we had been there long
enough.
The guides(and drivers) were
courteous and helpful. We
loved Tilye. She gave us
incite into modern life in
Istanbul as well as
historical information. Her
life experiences let us
understand the atmosphere
and problems Turkey faces.
In Cappodocia (which we
truly loved) Failth walked
us and showed us all types
of places and experiences.
He knew where to climb and
where to crawl. He even
climbed a tree to get us
fresh apricots. The two days
were spent with him were
full of fun and physical
activity. And last, Ylyss
was well informed too. The
excessive heat made our day
in Ephesus most difficult,
but it was not her fault.
And so, you're to be
commended and thanked for a
most outstanding experience.
We will keep your group in
mind to share with our
friends anytime.
Thank you again for a most
wonderful time.........

Dear
Cenan,
I am pleased to report that
our trip was very enjoyable
and the services provided by
your company were excellent.
The staff, from the people
handling the transfers to
the guides, were all very
professional. We found most
of the staff to be friendly,
helpful, and informative.
The trip details were well
organized and things ran
smoothly.
The food and accommodations
were also quite good. The
Anatolian Houses Goreme and
the Swiss Hotel (your
recommendation) were the
best in Turkey and the
Melenos Lindos on Rhodes was
a real treat.
The itinerary was nicely
paced and the sights were
all interesting.
We enjoyed all of the tours
although some guides were
naturally stronger than
others.
As I mentioned to you
before, you were especially
efficient and responsive in
arranging the details and
booking the trip up front.
Our only criticism, which we
often have in our travels,
is the somewhat reckless
driving of select
individuals. Although most
of our drivers were safe, we
did have 2 drivers who drove
too quickly, particularly
around blind curving roads,
and tail gaited and passed
other drivers unsafely,
making for a very
uncomfortable ride.
I would certainly recommend
your tour company for a trip
to Turkey.
Thank you again,
Tasha

My trip was brilliant. I
loved every part of it. It
was well planned and
organized. Hotels were good,
and all my pick up's were on
time.
I would recommend your
company to others!
Thank you.

We just got back from our
trip yesterday afternoon. It
was amazing. We can't thank
you enough for all of your
hard work in putting
together a personal
itinerary for us that met
our every objective. The
trip exceeded our
expecations. Let us just
name a few of the
highlights.
Your logistical planning was
superb. We were met, as
scheduled, every step of the
way and were well taken care
of by your meet and greet
people as well as your
transfer agents. It was so
comforting to know that we
would be met by your people
at every destination. This
was very personalized
service.
Your agent, Gulay, in
Istanbul was informative,
helpful and available for
any issue we might have. The
tour you set up for us in
Ephesus was great as we had
a very knowledgeable tour
guide and driver. The hotels
were excellent. We
especially were impressed
with the Charrisma hotel in
Kusadasi, as well as the
hotels in Santorini, Mykonos
and Athens.
Cenan, we know you pulled
this together for us in a
very short time frame which
makes our appreciation for
what you did, even greater.
We don't like large
organized tours so your
services provided the best
alternative so we could do
the trip on our own, while
feeling comfortable that you
and your people were always
there to help, advise and
move us to the next
destination with ease and
efficiency.
We are recommending Turkey
as a destination to our
friends and will definitely
recommend My Turkey Tours.
Thanks for helping us put
together a truly memorable
trip. Please contact us if
you have any questions.
Part 2:
We wanted to send you some
detailed feedback but did
not want to distract from
the overall message which we
had for you which is one of
GREAT appreciation. We were
truly impressed with the
amazing trip you put
together for us. WOW!!!
So, in case you wanted some
detailed feedback, here it
is:
HOTELS:
Overall Superb. The Charisma
hotel in Kusadasi truly
deserves its 5 stars. The
staff was great and the
hotel property was beautiful
with every amenity, fabulous
pool, good SPA, average
fitness center and stunning
views. It was also nice that
it was away from the town
center. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
The Volcano View could not
have been more beautiful.
Our room was great and the
location, away from the
congestion of Fira was
perfect. The view was
incredible!!! HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED
The Deliades in Mykonos was
a great find. The location
at Ornos Bay was wonderful.
The Staff was GREAT. They
could not have been nicer.
Again, you did a great job
of locating us away from the
noise and congestion of
Mykonos town. We did upgrade
though as the standard rooms
were dark and small. They
were located on the first
floor, just off the road in
the front of the hotel. All
they had available was a
junior suite, but it was
amazingly beautiful and made
the stay truly memorable.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Athens Gate Hotel was a gem.
Recently refurbished the
room was the20epitome of
modern efficiency and clean
style. The staff was on top
of their game. Highly
efficient and welcoming.
They could not have been
nicer. And as for location,
it could not have been
better. It was right in the
heart of things. HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED
The Rodos Palace was good
but had some quirks and Jim
and I split on our views.
The pluses were the fitness
center, the pool area and
the breakfast. I also loved
being right across from the
beach area. Again, in a very
nice area of town. The
downside was the staff. Not
overly pleasant. Always felt
like they were doing you a
favour. Internet access came
at a cost and inconvenient
procedure and the fitness
center was a bit expensive
to use but very nice. The
pool towel required a cash
deposit. The hotel and room
could have used a bit
updating. The hotel's 5
stars are a bit of a
stretch. Again, we were not
disappointed overall and you
can feel comfortable booking
people there.
Elegance Hotel in Marmaris
was not good. This is where
we had a glitch as they said
they did not receive payment
and cancelled our
reservation. This came after
a very long day in Ephesus
and a very long car ride to
Marmaris. We were tired and
the hotel reception was not
very nice. Thankfully, Gulay
was easily reached by cell
phone and quickly resolved
the matter. But the desk
clerk was not very nice
about it. The physical parts
of=2 0the hotel were very
tired. The lobby, room and
bathroom were basic at best.
This hotel definitely does
not warrant its Star rating.
You might want to find
another property in Marmaris.
NOT RECOMMENDED
The tour in Ephesus was
SUPERB. The tour guide
Cedugm (Sorry about the
spelling) and driver Mr. Ali
were great. We had one other
couple with us and we could
not have felt better taken
care of. She was very
informative. HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED
The tour in Athens was okay,
but the Logistical planning
was very poor. We were
picked up early at the hotel
(7:30 am) and kept on the
bus for the next 60 minutes
as we collected other people
and circled the same
neighbourhood of our hotel.
We kept passing our hotel on
this odyssey. At 8:30, we
pulled up at the tour
company's staging area not
100 meters from our hotel in
order to divide people up
into their tours. Once on
our new bus, we made one
stop at another hotel at
8:40 am, not 50 meters from
our hotel. We should have
been given the option of
meeting up with the tour at
either 8:30 at the tour
company or at 8:40 at the
neighbouring hotel. The tour
itself was a large tour and
was okay.
Cenan, as I said in my other
e-mail, your logistical
planning was outstanding.
The meters and greeters and
transfer agents were SUPERB!
They were always there as
scheduled and could not have
been nicer and the ferries
and flights were good. Truly
a great part of the trip and
a highlight. THANK YOU!!! I
hope that this feedback is
very helpful for you and I
would be happy to give you
any more detail.
Sincerely,
Todd & Jim Arkenberg
Kathleen Wall - Canada
Sorry I have been meaning to
write to you since I got
back but I have been very
busy. We had a fabulous
time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you
very much! Overall the trip
was incredible.
Also i should say up front
that everyone we dealt with
was incredibly friendly and
helpful.
Everywhere we went was a
highlight but I think in
terms of your arrangements
some of the big highlights
were: (not in any order)
1. The hotel in Athens -
Athens Cypria. It is was so
perfectly located downtown
that we were able to walk
everywhere and were right in
the heart of the City.
2. The Blue Hills hotel in
Istanbul was also so
perfectly situated that we
could get everywhere easily
and were seconds away from
the Blue Mosque and Hagia
Sophia - what more could you
ask for!
3. I think one of very
greatest highlights was our
tour of Ephesus. We had an
almost private tour (there
were only 4 of us) with a
fabulous guide (Cedgim) and
our driver Ali (who was our
driver the entire time we
were in Kusadasi) who was
also fabulous. We had an
incredible tour and the
lunch at the Carpet
Institute was incredible and
the atmosphere was
beautiful. We also had two
very nice students who
picked us up at the ferry
and the transfer to the
airport and they were so
sweet and so enthusiastic
that it was contagious and
made us feel very welcome.
All of our tours were great
and the transfers went
really well except in
Istanbul (see note below).
In Athens we were met right
away by an agent from GATS
who gave us all of our
transfers and explained
everything. It was all
really well organized and we
were met at every location
by very friendly and helpful
people.
Here are a few comments for
possible improvement:
1. There was a problem with
our pickup from the Istanbul
airport and the transfer to
the airport from our hotel
in Istanbul. Those were the
only issues with transfers
and they were solved.
2. Our hotel in Heraklion
was very nice (The Castello)
but it was in an incredibly
noisy location that made it
difficult to sleep. It was
also a longer walk to the
downtown area but it was
fairly close to the
waterfront.
Those were the only minor
things that didn't go as
well. Otherwise the trip was
one I'll never forget and
that in part is to all of
the arrangements that you
made and from all of the
people who we met and helped
us along the way.
Thank you so much to you and
your team for all of their
work - it was fabulous!!!

We absolutely loved our time
in Turkey! We felt very well
cared for with our hotels,
drivers and tours, with only
one small exception. We will
be recommending Turkey as a
wonderful place to all of
our friends. Our first
guide, on the Bosphorous and
2 continents tour, was
somewhat unfriendly and
actually told me to not ask
any questions. His name was
Ali. We did, however enjoy
seeing the things we saw
that day. Our second guide,
Sheref, was absolutely
wonderful and we thoroughly
enjoyed our day with him. He
not only showed and
explained about the sites,
but also helped us
understand and appreciate
many things about Turkey's
religion, people, and
culture. We had Yeliz for
our day in Ephesus, etc.,
and she was also fantastic.
The Kismet hotel was a
lovely place to spend the
night after a long day of
touring, with gorgeous views
of the Aegean. Oludeniz is
the place we did not want to
leave. The hotel Meri is in
a great location and we
couldn't believe how
beautiful the Mediterranean
is. We swam, boated, para-glided
and relaxed in that little
piece of heaven. So,
overall, the vacation
package you arranged for us
was nearly perfect. The
hotels, sites, guides
(mostly), and people were
fabulous! Thank you so much
for this wonderful
experience. We have a new
appreciation for your
beautiful, historic country.
Sincerely,

We have
just finished our wonderful
12-day trip to Turkey.
My daughter’s arrival in
Istanbul was delayed for 8
hours due to the poor
weather in Boston. The
airline changed her flight
two times. Your local agent,
Gulay Konal, was very
helpful and arranged for a
driver to pick and drive my
daughter to the hotel.
The hotels were in great
locations. We like the
smaller Blue Hills Hotel in
Istanbul the best. The
manager there Aydin Tumen
and his associates were so
warm and friendly.
The places we visited –
Istanbul and Cappadocia are
exceptional, Ephesus and
Pamukkale are great. We
found Pergamum less
attractive, we probably
would enjoy more by
substituting it with
Gallipoli.
Our tour guides were all
very good. We especially
liked the two gentlemen in
Cappadocia.
We have been telling some
friends how happy we are
about this trip. Turkey is
truly a beautiful country,
rich in history, and the
people are great. We are
lucky to have this
opportunity to experience a
little bit of it. Thank you
very much for making this
possible for us.

Thanks!
We had a wonderful time and
would recommend the country
to all. The people were
friendly and the country
beautiful. Istanbul and
Cappadocia were unbelievable
places to visit. Your
organization was
professional and if there
were any issues Gulay
attended to this
immediately. The hotels in
Cappadocia, Kusudasi and
Taksim square were beyond
what we expected. The hotels
in Sultanamet and Antalya
were average.
All our tours were
outstanding and the drivers
very warm and friendly.
Best regards and thank you
for making Turkey one of the
best places we have visited,

I travel
more than eight months in a
year, so I get in contact
with many different travel
agencies and tour guides. I
have to say that I will
classify My Turkey Tours as
one of the best five

responsible, on time, great
guides and always went that
little inch more to make our
trip an incredible
experience.

Cenan,
Just completed our fabulous
trip to Turkey and Greece.
Your country was most
interesting and enjoyable.
The people, historical and
religious sites, the
Bosporus, the food – in
short, everything was
memorable.
The hotels you picked were
outstanding especially on
Santorini! Most
impressively, your staff was
always there on time and
very courteous and helpful
in each of the four sites we
visited. Our tour guide in
Istanbul was very
professional, knowledgeable
and friendly. The Dersaadet
Hotel staff were very
helpful and went the extra
step by getting our
breakfast at 5:00 AM on the
day of our departure!
Thank you and all of your
staff.

My family and I can’t thank
you enough for making our
trip to Turkey such a
success! It was wonderful.
We feel truly blessed to
have experienced this
beautiful country and met
it’s wonderful people. The
guides were invaluable. We
all learned so much.
Everyone concerned seemed to
take extra care to make us
feel at home. And talk about
timely, we never waited one
moment for a driver or
guide!
I guess the only thing we
would change would be our
hotel outside Fettia. We
felt it was too touristy for
us and would have preferred
a small boutique hotel in
hindsight. That certainly
was not your fault. We just
loved our other hotels and
getting to know the Turkish
people who worked in the
smaller hotels was very
special to us.
I don’t know that we will
ever be able to visit Turkey
again, but it certainly
isn’t because we don’t want
to. You have a wonderful
country that should be
experienced by anyone who
has the chance to go. Your
company made that possible.
We probably could have done
it without you, but I doubt
it ever could have been done
as well.

I guess when we engaged your
services your company was
only 1 year old however each
of you have experience in
your specialty areas.
1. My Turkey Tours presented
a well designed, efficient
and economical 3 city and 7
day tour of turkey including
Istanbul, Cappodocia and
Ephesus.
2. The guide in Ephesus was
probably the must
knowledgeable, and the guide
in Istanbul was average
however he met our needs to
move quickly. In Cappadocia
you just need someone to
basically take you around.
3. The hotels Miriam, museum
and Kayseri were excellent.
In fact A and K used all of
them except in Istanbul. The
musuem hotel is simply over
the top.
4. Our two days at the
museum hotel included
cooking school with the chef
Moustaphah, Turkish shave
and haircut and just great
dining options.
5. Our first day Iin stanbul
was from 9am to 10pm and we
went to 14 venues. The
second was relaxing and
always effortless.
6. The drivers were always
on time at the airport and
to pick us up. The vans were
very clean as is all of
Turkey.
7. My Turkey Tours simply is
a great choice for
independent and personalized
travel and we want our
children to enjoy travel to
Turkey without us.
Sincerely...

We thoroughly enjoyed our
trip to Turkey. Thank you
for making everything
flawless. I was a little
concerned whether we get
picked up on time from the
airports but we did not
encounter much problem. Only
in Cappadocia, the driver
was waiting at the wrong
exit gate and fortunately we
had a cell phone and called
your Istanbul office and
they quickly resolved the
confusion. Just one problem
was none of the drivers we
had spoke any English at
all.
All the hotels were
excellent and met our
expectations. We were a
little disappointed with the
guide and the driver in
Cappadocia. Also some of the
vans had inadequate air
conditioning. But overall
the trip was very enjoyable

I have been meaning to write
to you and Gulay at Medhills
travel. We had a wonderful
experience in Turkey! We
loved the country itself,
the culture and people. The
sights were wonderful. Our
itinerary was action packed,
and you guys did a great
job! the staff was
unbelievably kind, helpful,
and really helped us out
with whatever problems we
had. the travelling was
seamless and everything was
taken care for us. We really
enjoyed this trip and would
recommend Turkey and your
services to anyone!! Thanks
again for such a memorable
trip!

I wanted to thank you for
putting a wonderful package
together for us, we had such
an amazing trip in your
country. I have travelled
quite a bit but never
experienced such warm and
beautiful people. The
company that worked with us
were timely, reliable and
incredibly friendly and go
out of their way to make us
comfortable and welcomed.
Thank you so much for
sharing your country with
us.

The trip was wonderful.
Without exception, every
experience we had with the
drivers, the guides, the
reps... they were all
flawless. Each time we
arrived in a new location -
we immediately spotted our
name and were taken directly
to the hotel. Everyone was
so nice and helpful! I
really can't stress enough
that the logistics of the
entire trip were just
perfect. It made the whole
experience stress-free and
so enjoyable.
The hotels were great (my
favorite was the Ellysium in
Mykonos - just for the pool
alone!). The hotel in
Istanbul had problems with
the Air Conditioning on our
last night there. It broke
down, but they gave us a fan
which helped a lot.
The flights and ferrys were
all great. Thank you so much
for your assistance in
making this trip so
memorable. I would be happy
to be a reference anytime -
thank you again!

incredible visit to Turkey.
Your accommodations were
spectacular, the tours
terrific, and the
transportation great. We
were extremely impressed

tour operators in the cities
we visited what a wonderful

We had a
wonderful time in Turkey.
The logistics went very
well, and we were picked up
at all of the airports and
at the hotels on time,
except for the trip to \parmakale,
when the tour bus was late.
However, the young man who
met us at the hotel that day
was extremely knowledgeable
and shared lots of good
information with us, in
addition to ironing out all
of the arrangements. He was
excellent. . We enjoyed all
of the tours. The tour guide
we had for Epheuses and
Pergamon was outstanding.
The guide for Parmakale was
less informative; and the
bus driver that day had an
instance of road rage, which
we thought was very
irresponsible, given that he
had about 20 people on the
tour bus. The tour guide for
the second day of
Cappodochia (the underground
city) was also outstanding.
The three hotels worked very
well for us. The air flights
also worked very well.
Thank you for making this
such a wonderful vacation
for us.

Dear Cenan -
I am glad to be able to
provide my comments. The
first thing I would do
differently is to eliminate
the travel agent as
intermediary and I would
deal directly with
MyTurkeyTours. The travel
agent was not needed and, in
fact, turned out to be a
problem.
My
husband and I began our time
in Turkey on July 1 with a
visit to our new in-laws in
Turunc. Before we left the
United States, our travel
agent told us nothing about
contacting you before our
brief tour was to begin on
July 9. We were told we'd be
picked up at our designated
hotel, The Kybele, at 5:30am
on the morning of July 9. We
weren't very smart to leave
the US with only that
directive and, as July 9
drew closer, we thought we
should try to make contact
with MyTurkeyTours. Our
hotel helped us track down
your number (not easy,
actually) and we talked with
you, Cenan. I believe my
husband said you were in
Canada at the time. You said
you had been trying to reach
us, a small party of 5,
staying at The Kybele, and
that our travel agent had
been instructed to tell us
to check in with you several
days prior to our tour. We
received neither message.
So, you were a little
frantic and we were a little
frantic. But once we made
contact with you, everything
fell into place. Within half
an hour, Gulay (Rosie)
appeared at our hotel with
tickets and instructions.
She was completely
competent, efficient,
helpful and reassuring. We
were picked up at our hotel
at 5am on July 9 and taken
to the airport where we flew
to Izmir. There, we were met
by Yeliz Gedik and our
driver. Yeliz became our
"face of Turkey". All five
of us fell in love with her.
She was warm, funny, an
infinite store of knowledge.
On our mini-van ride to the
site, she prepared us for
what we were to see in
Ephesus that day. And, once
there, she guided us
skillfully through the
extensive site, being
careful to find shade where
there was some, talking,
talking, talking the whole
time. She was eager for and
interested in our questions.
She seemed to thrive on
interaction. We just loved
her. Ephesus was truly
amazing. We will go back.
There's so much more to see
and to learn. But we were
exhausted by the end of our
tour day and grateful for a
day of rest between Ephesus
and Pamukkale. After
Ephesus, we called Gulay on
her cell phone (a nice
contact to have) and
requested Yeliz as our guide
for Pamukkale. The idea of a
day of rest between two
intense tour days came from
a comment on your web site
so we had decided to heed
their advice. Unfortunately,
I got sick on the rest day
and was not well enough for
the Pamukkale trip. You'll
have to rely on the accounts
of the other 4 of our party
who did make the trip. The
Carisma Hotel was certainly
everything one could have
wanted in a five star hotel.
Very luxurious, fine rooms,
fabulous breakfasts,
gorgeous setting. For me, it
lacked soul. It had lots of
sleek chrome and mirrors but
was devoid of personality.
We preferred our more
colorful, funky Istanbul
hotel, the Kybele. The
Carisma, however, was a very
comfortable place to recover
from illness (except that
the personnel at the front
desk would not allow my
husband to bring me liquids
brought from outside the
hotel, an odd and irritation
and unwelcome approach to a
sick person). At the end of
the Pamukkale day, Yeliz
made a point of coming to
say goodbye to me. We had a
heartfelt and warm
attachment. I was very
grateful for her expertise
and her lovely personality.
We have already recommended
both MyTurkeyTours and Yeliz
to other friends and
relatives. The next morning,
our driver picked us up at
the Carisma at the exact
appointed time, took us to
the Izmir airport where we
flew back to Istanbul. In
Istanbul, we were picked up
by one of your drivers and
taken back to The Kybele.
Gulay called us to make sure
everything had gone well. We
couldn't be happier with
your organization. It was
beautifully run, totally
reliable and had intelligent
and competent staff
throughout. A complete
pleasure to deal with.
You have our gratitude and
our loyalty. I'm sure we
will contact you when
planning future trips to
Turkey.

Cenan and all, sorry for the

very busy upon my return,

relaxing visit to turkey so
much! i had a wonderful
trip! i can't thank you
enough for organizing the
tour for the specific days

to meet different people on
the different tours every
few days. there was always a
driver to meet me at the
airport, they were all very
friendly and spoke good
English, and arrived mostly
on time for the trips from
the hotel to the airport.
the hotels were all very
modern, clean, and
comfortable; and especially
the polat beach hotel in
kusadasi was excellent with
the pool and the beach. all
of the guides were
excellent, their knowledge
of history and cultures and
traditions is amazing, and
they all had a good sense of
humor which was nice on the
long trips. all of the food
was fantastic, so many fresh

We really enjoyed our tour
in Turkey. The hotel staff
in Istanbul was very helpful
and we were overall very
pleased with our time there.
(Transfers were very
punctual as well.) For the
second leg of our tour we
were in Ephesus and
Pamukkale. Our hotel was
nice. Our tour guide was
exceptional. Turgut was very
informative and was by far
the best guide we had. Our
stay in Cappadocia was fine.
The management at the hotel
was a bit odd however. In
addition the tour guide did
not seem overly
enthusiastic. Overall
however we were very pleased
with our tour and would
kindly spread the word.

We found every aspect of our
trip outstanding. The
pick-ups were timely. The
tour guides were
knowledgeable, timely and
professional. The sites were
spectacular. The Kismet
Hotel was adequate and
clearly needs updating of
its facilities. The Museum
Hotel was excellent with a
fine restaurant although we
found the cave room somewhat
small and claustrophobic,
but that was our choice.
All in all, a great trip.

We enjoyed our trip to
Turkey very much. Your local
agent, Gulay Konal at
MedHills Travel was very
helpful and made some last
minute changes to the
reservations that were
uselful. All the people we
met in Turkey were very
friendly. The Turkish food
was very good. The
highlights of the trip for
us were Istanbul, Ephesus,
Aphrodisias, Bodrum, Turtle
Beach, Oludeniz, Cappadocia,
and Sanliurfa/Harran.
The best hotels were:
Altin Yunus in Cesme
Nisanyan in Sirince --
outstanding
Richmond in Pamukkale
Queen Ada in Bodrum --
outstanding
Bararossa in Kas --
outstanding
Alp Pasa in Antalya
Esbelli Cave in Cappadocia
—outstanding
The Poseidon Hotel in
Marmaris had very small
rooms and was very noisy.
Marmaris is the one place we
could have skipped
altogether on the trip.
The Zeus hotel in Kahta was
also very noisy and
impossible to get much sleep
before the very early
departure for Mt Nemrut.

Iyi aksamlar Cenan, and Ms.
Gulay Konal,
I was pleased to hear from
Cenan and I must admit that
I’d anticipated your request
for feedback. We’ve now had
plenty of time to reflect on
the trip and in summary
Marlene and I are very
pleased with the package you
provided and we are
particularly happy with the
execution. In the dialog
below I will mention
specific names and I would
ask that this not be
provided to other
prospective clients but only
used internally by Medhills
or MyTurkeyTours.
I’ve commented in the past
about how pleased we were to
be met promptly at every
airport and bus exchange. In
particular Sami was
absolutely reliable.
Although our bus was delayed
from Canakkale to Istanbul,
he was there politely
waiting. As I recall it was
a Sunday evening and I know
he would have preferred to
be with his family but he
was only concerned about our
needs.
We were not disappointed
with any of the
Accommodations. Of course
Dersaadet Hotel and Elkep
Evi were particularly nice.
Although I think both are
out of your network I would
recommend these without
hesitation. In both cases
the staff was particularly
generous. Did I mention
Cemil at Dersaadet? He is
quite the gentleman. Of
course El Ruha was also very
nice and the location was a
treat. We found the Zeus in
Kahta to be reasonable and
the breakfast was good. To
be honest we arrived late so
we did not get much of a
feel for the facility or the
neighborhood. Oh, we felt
quite comfortable on the
streets in every city we
visited.
In Selcuk we of course
stayed at the Kalehan Hotel
and again the staff, Dilek
Ekmen and a gentleman whose
name I did not record, were
very pleasant. Of course the
room here was more modest
than the other properties,
but it was consistently
clean. It did however have a
number if items which needed
repair. The location was
good and we found multiple
restaurants in easy reach.
You might promote the close
proximity of the Temple of
Artemis, the Byzantine
Gateway, and the Basilica of
St. John. It would have been
a treat to enter the citadel
on Ayasouluk hill. We
thought that if we had
bicycles there we could have
done Ephesus, Mary’s house
and even Kusadasi easily. I
liked that it did not have
the glitz present in
Kusadasi.
We were of course pleased
when met, on time, at the
airport in Ismir, and the
shuttle to Selcuk was very
quick. During that ride I
asked if our guide, I have
his name here but I won’t
specifically mention him,
could arrange an evening
trip to Kusadasi but he
hesitated and indicated that
we should work through you.
All that is ok. Then just
before he left us in the
lobby, after providing some
good advice, he offered to
get us to Kusadasi for 40E.
We didn’t really understand
the neighborhood and
fortunately we declined. As
I mentioned, the staff of
the Kalehan Hotel were very
helpful and they provided us
a walking map so we took a
local bus to Kusadasi for
14.40YTL round trip, two
persons. I mention this not
to impune the gentleman, nor
were we offended because we
have an obligation to be
smart too, but simply to
illustrate what you already
know. You’re success is
dependent on the quality of
the sub-contractors. I
believe we mentioned the
fine French guide that
shared our coach to
Pamukkale and Hierapolis
which was so engaging for
those who spoke French.
Unfortunately, Fazul?, while
light-hearted, was not
particularly informative.
Given the long trip on this
day and the limited time
available to actually visit
the alternatives this is a
segment that could be
skipped.
The two guides at the top of
our list are Yelis who
presented Ephesus and
Nurullah who took us to
Pergamum. Yelis was very
detailed and did a
particularly good job of
moving us around the crush
of visitors and presenting a
cohesive overview of the
history. She had to juggle a
couple of groups with
different itineraries and
managed this with good
success. If I could have
arranged it I would have
liked to arrive at the
moment it opened and stay
until it closed, and I wish
there was but one group to
minimize the overhead.
Nurulllah Galiskan was our
guide to our second most
favorite spot in Turkey,
Pergamum. What a spectacular
venue and he made a terrific
effort to show us every
detail. He even purchased a
multicolor transparency to
help use understand. After
lunch and an hour in the
local museum (our choice)
the hand off at the bus
station went well.
Again we were met promptly
in Canakkale by Ali Ihsan
Sidar and taken to the
opulent Kolin Hotel. This
room was just great and the
view was spectacular. I hope
you have the opportunity to
stay here one day as well.
We found the meals had a lot
of variety so that was all
good. The only down side to
this hotel is the high cost
of all the amenities like
exercise and pool. We chose
to just walk instead.
Ok, there is a third guide
at the top of our list.
Aukut Degre provided a very
rich history of the period
leading up to WWI through
Turkish independence. This
was a kind of a clumsy day
because we were hustled over
to the peninsula early in
the morning but we then sat
for a couple of hours as we
waited for the tour to
start. We were given bag
lunches but these were not
so great and we hand no
opportunity to eat once the
tour began. I’m surprised
that we were not just served
before the tour up on the
top floor of the facility.
Having said that, the tour
was just great! It ran to
nearly sunset and Aukut was
able to really connect with
the young Australians and
New Zealanders that were in
our group. I pressed him on
history and politics and he
was wonderfully balanced and
candid. I learned rather a
lot from this gentleman. My
only regret is that we
emphasized the ANZAC forces
and I have a strong interest
in the Turkish perspective
as well. Another trip!
We found Troy a good half
day trip and worth the
effort but it was clear that
Marlene and I were add-on’s
to another group’s trip. I’m
afraid that their experience
was cut short by the need to
pick us up and drop us off.
Our guide here, a tall young
man who simply used the name
John was not particularly
enthusiastic, but I can
appreciate the routine must
be tedious. I’d like to
spend more time here.
What I’ve not mentioned was
the trip to Nemrut Dagi. Ms.
Gulay was absolutely
correct; it was the
highlight of the trip. Our
favorite photo is one of
Marlene taking a photo of
about a dozen young women as
the sun rose. It was a long
trip but one of the great
memories of our lives. You
might explore alternatives
to CEM tours for this leg of
an itinerary. The guide was
not very experienced and
there were two restaurants
which we visited twice. Did
I tell you what a beautiful
country you have?
I know that each of your
sub-contractors has an
obligation to present the
tour groups to local
artisans and we are glad to
acquire some special
knowledge. Perhaps one of
the disadvantages of
independent travel is that
it is difficult to manage
the number of events so
there is some redundancy.
Marlene and I visited two
ceramic shops, two jewelry
shops, two rug fabricators,
and a leather goods shop. We
managed to beg off on one
other similar event in
Selcuk thanks to Yelis. Each
of these merchants was very
hospitable with the
exception of the leather
goods shop in Istanbul which
I found offensive. Much of
our group was older than I
at age 60+ but they were
presented with a fashion
show that target twenty-somethings.
The music was sufficiently
loud that several of the
guests covered their ears.
When the fashion show was
completed several wanted to
simply find a way to the
sunshine but the merchant
attempted to intimidate us
by saying it would be rude
for us to leave without
joining him in tea. While I
fully respect the generosity
of the Turkish culture I,
and others, found this
particular venue
over-bearing.
The morning we visited
Bircik we had a moment to
step over to the Euphrates.
It occurred to us that it
would have been fun to have
a brunch picnic adjacent to
a nice part of the
river…perhaps near Ataturk
Dam.
Ms. Gulay. I hope that you
continue to visit with each
client after their arrival.
This conversation was likely
more valuable than you
realize. Thank you.
Well, I’m about out of gas
but I would again like to
express my thanks for a very
memorable visit. Marlene and
I speak highly of the
fantastic sights, most of
which I’ve not mentioned,
and the very pleasant people
we met. I can only hope that
Cenan receives the same kind
of respect here as we
received in Turkey…..but I
fear not.
Tesekkur ederim.

It is hard to believe that
we have been back from our
trip for nearly 2 weeks. I
had intended to sit down
every day since and send you
a note, but had so much to
say so it has taken me a bit
to gather my thoughts.
First of all we wanted to
tell you what a wonderful
trip we had. We loved
Greece, but Turkey was
phenomenal. I had been
wanting to go to Turkey for
20 years since I had heard
of Efes, but everything
about Turkey: the geography,
the art, the culture, the
history, the seaside, the
mountains, the food, and the
hospitality of nearly every
person we encountered in
Turkey surpassed all of my
expectations.
Aside from the 2 small
matters to which you
attended quickly and
helpfully from long
distance, everything was
great. We were impressed
with how seamless the
arrangements were. We smiled
with delight every time we
were met at our new
destination (even at 2:00 in
the morning!) and picked up
at our hotel on time for the
next thing on our itinerary.
We were so pleased with the
organization of the trip and
the selection of things on
the tours. I also went on
the balloon ride in
Cappadoccia and loved every
second of it.
We cannot say enough
wonderful things about our
tour guides in Yediz in
Pamukale and the gentleman
(I regret I cannot remember
his name) in Istanbul, as
well as the driver Ali who
was our driver from the time
we landed in Marmaris until
we left out of Izmere. Yediz
and our Istanbul guide were
outstanding and really made
the history come alive. If
there is any way to let them
know, we would appreciate
it.
The staffs at all of the
hotels were gracious and
helpful and the location of
each hotel was perfect. We
were always right in the
heart of the place we wanted
to be. We particularly loved
the the Blue Hills in
Istanbul and Giramsu in
Cappadoccia . I laughed with
utter delight when we opened
the door in our cave hotel
to find such a beautiful
room with traditional
Turkish decorations. It was
wonderful.
We are looking forward to
returning to Turkey and
exploring more and we thank
you again for everything.

We are back and still
buzzing with the wonder of
Turkey and its people. Thank
you for putting together a
varied and well-paced tour
for me and Richard. The time
in Konya was meaningful for
both of us and having

highlights of our trip.
Cappadocia and Izmir are so
rich with history and
natural wonders that we felt
dazzled and well informed by
the guides who took us
through these places.
Please let the staff know
again how delighted we are
with your group of workers.
We shall certainly recommend
your help and organization

Rosie, we had a great trip.
Turkey has enormous variety
and beauty combined with a
rich history. The airlines
provide something to eat on
short flights which doesn't
happen in this country.
However, the greatest part
of a very nice experience
was the Turkish people -
they were great!
The hotels were top notch.
During our first stay at the
Seven Hills, the view from
our room of the Blue Mosque
and Highia-Sophia was
stunning. If you had a part
in landing us that room, we
thank you very much. Hisar
Evi is a delight - wonderful
location within an
interesting little town, and
Ismail is a charmer. The
Charisma is a fine hotel
with a very friendly staff
and fine seaside fish
restaurant next door. Alp
Pasa was a good choice,
Cenan. The Antalya area is a
lovely part of the world.
The choice of sites visited
was good. We appreciated the
flexibility of rearranging
Day - 8 (Pirenne-Miletus-Dityma)
in favor of Sirince and
Tire. We also appreciated
the chance to see Parmukkale
during the long drive from
Kusadasi to Antalya. One
thing that should be
reviewed is doing the
Pergamum tour from Kusadasi.
It's a killer! Going through
Izmir twice in one day is
too exhausting and
unnerving.
Our guides - Nilgun Kirman,
Fatih Cakaci, Harun Yildirim
and Ismet Turan were all
very well informed and
courteous. We were
especially impressed with
Fatih, who has the soul of a
poet, and Ismet who is
charming and erudite in a
good way. He and I had fun
talking about the Roman
Empire. One thing guides
need to avoid is over use of
the cell phone which Nilgun
did somewhat and Harun, who
is very likable, did in
spades. Believe he had some
personal issues going on at
the time.
The overall coordination was
generally good. We did
become a bit anxious about
receiving our electronic
flight tickets before flying
on to the
Kayseri-Izmir-Antalya part
of our tour. Also, in
Antalya, Ismet did not learn
for sure that he was to be
our guide until 8:00 PM
(18:00) the night before.
Since I was uncertain when
we were going to be taken to
the Antalya airport, I
called Mehmet Yildiz and
arranged the pick-up time.
It was a wonderful
experience! Thanks to you
Cenan for helping us get to
Turkey, and thanks to you
Rosie for taking good care
of us after we arrived. I
especially appreciate your
help in reaching the Bank of
America in New York late on
a Friday afternoon after an
ATM machine ate my ATM card.
Hopefully this answers most
of the questions on your
Tour Feedback Form. We would
confidentally recommend a
Commegene tour to our
friends. Thanks to you both
for a fine travel
experience.

staff!
You have really made our
first trip to Turkey a most
wonderful and unforgettable
experience. We sincerely
thank you, your staff, your
professional private guides,
your regional
representatives and all of
your hotel staff for this.
Travel by plane was
excellent, allowing us the

separated by great distance.
Tesekkur ederim.
We especially thank the Blue
Hills Hotel staff in
Istanbul who were most
professional, helpful and
attentive. This hotel was
very comfortable and the
location was excellent, as
we strolled through the
Hippodrome and the gardens
of the Blue Mosque on our
daily outings.
Your Cappadocia arrangements
were perfect. The Hisar Evi
Cave Hotel and the excellent
staff there certainly added
to our enjoyment of this
ancient area, together with
the high quality tours and
personally-guided valley
trekking.
Best of luck to you as you
continue to develop your
excellent travel business.
We look forward to meeting
you all again, as we
consider our three weeks

Thank you for all you did to

We had a great time in
Turkey! Our trip was well
organized and executed.
Everything worked out just
great. Guys in Istanbul were
very professional and
courteous. Historical tours,
guides and hotels were
excellent. You did
everything you promised
(even more) and we highly
recommend your company to
anyone who wants to travel
in Turkey.
Thank you very much for
everything!

Hello again!
I just wanted to let you
know that your outstanding
service and all of the work
you put into our vacation
made our trip really special
and easier than we thought.
Every detail was taken care
of so we just had to jump on
the plane and show up. What
a great way to travel!!
Turkey was a great country,
so were people. Your agency
and service were a definite
WOW for us. Thanks for
everything – we wouldn't
hesitate in recommending
your company to our friends.

We are now back home after
two fabulous weeks in Turkey
and still full of all the
memories of your great

guys enough for making our
travel arrangements with no
hassle! Everything was so

definitely great! We have
already told everyone what a
pleasure you have been to
work with and that we would
highly recommend Fez Travel.
Cenan, you have been
absolutely very helpful. We
were so glad to have such a
professional tour agent like
you! Thank you very much for
all of your help and
recommendations.

Merheba,
First of all I would like to
thank you all for putting
this trip together for me in
such a short time! I can
surely say that it was the
best vacation I've ever had
in my life! Everything
worked out just perfect! No
delay, no trouble and no
drama! Hotels were excellent
and guides were fantastic!
(at some points Mr. Erden
was speaking better English
than me!). I'll make sure
that all my friends will use
your services. Hopefully I
will see you guys on my next
Turkey trip! Thank you very
much for everything, God
bless you all.
Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence - USA
Dear Cenan,
We just got back home and we
wanted to thank you for
everything you have done for
us! Our trip was absolutely
fantastic, tours and
transfers were well
organized. Guys in Turkey
were definitely fabulous,
they took care of us from
the moment we arrived until
the moment we left. We will
keep in touch with you for
the next trip! By the way
thank you very much Mr.
Ayden for the Baklavas!!!
Mr. & Mrs. Rollin - USA
We were well informed of
what to expect and we got
exactly what we were told we
would have. It was just like
the best Turkey tours,
especially having the
opportunity to travel by our
own! We loved everything
that the tours brought to
us! Turkey was full of never
ending surprises made all
the time enjoyable by our
excellent tour guides on
each place and staff too,
provided outstanding level
of service! Thank you My
Turkey Tours and everyone
for a lifetime of wonderful
memories.
Ms. Alicia Rodgers - USA
This tour has been
exceptional to date and
excellent value for money.
The guides and drivers have
been excellent in both
Istanbul and Cappadocia.
They are very professional,
their knowledge amazes us.
The tour we took was a
private tour, it was much
cheaper than with other tour
groups but the quality of
the service has been
exceptional value for money.
